IPCOM network in Miami Florida and different countries is a network with high reliability, accessibility and redundancy.
The network is connected to a fiber optics smart ring at OC 48 level.

This ring covers the more important point of the city, including Grande and Golden Glades Bellsouth Central Offices and the NAP de las Americas in Miami.

The advantage to the customers, carriers and IPCOM Pop’s is the easy accessibility and the redundancy provided by the ring.

The wide coverage of the Miami fiber and the IP access to the network guarantee short connection times no matter if its TDM or IP.
At the other hand I also allows easy connectivity offshore either fiber or satellite.

IPCOM is currently deploying Points of Presence in New York City at 60 Hudson and at Los Angeles One Wilshire and has plans to expand to 30 cities within the United States. Remote points of presence are in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Colombia, and Brazil.

Both International and American standards are supported in switch, and different kinds of signalling can be implemented. CCS7, CAS, ISDN are examples of the flexibility that the switch presents.

The voice compression is carried out by IP gateways designed with efficient voice compression algorithms could reach QoS 8:1 and 12:1 in some cases . These gateways also provide enhanced fax transmissions up to 14600 kbps.

The data and voice integration takes place in the ATM Cisco Router which provides most of the interfaces such as V.35, E1, DS-1, V.11, and protocols such as Frame Relay, IP and ATM. In the ATM switch are integrated video, data, voice, and images services for future services.
